Very over priced for what you get at this park. Don't understand the past rave reviews. Once in awhile you see a review where they call it for what it is. Manager can be a little dicey to deal with. When you pay this much and they advertise Wi-Fi, you should be able to get Wi-Fi and not pay extra. Paying extra doesn't even cut it because the Wi-Fi is in and out. Will stay somewhere else next time.

This was an OK place for a stopover. We pulled in too late to get anything except water and electric. Those sites do not have cable. We were in the back of the park so Wi-Fi was a little weak. Sites were large and campground was well shaded. A number of permanent residents but everything was clean and maintained. Manager was a little grumpy and rules oriented. Given that, we were surprised when the Beverly Hillbillies pulled in next to us. Two people in a small class A motorhome, a pop-up, and two vehicles all jammed onto the site next to us. The pop-up was a storage vehicle so they didn't put it up. I am assuming that management didn't know they were doing this. If we don't have to be crammed in with that caravan again, we would stay there again.

This is our second extended (3 weeks) stay at Fidalgo Bay. The reviews on this place can be mixed, but we love it. We stay ONLY in the front sites (1-15). That is why we love it. If we stayed in sites further back we might not enjoy ourselves quite so much. Manager/staff is friendly. WI-FI (when the park is not full) is good. Some cable TV stations - enough for us. Sites are a decent distance apart. Not huge but OK. Yes, it is pricey. But, the waters of Fidalgo Bay are about 20 ft out the front window of our RV. That is what you are paying for and we find it worth every penny. Will return again and again.

This is a nice RV park and the managers are very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay if you want to do wine tasting in Prosser because it is right near a lot of the tasting rooms. Well maintained campground with good Wi-Fi and cable. The sites could be a little bigger but we didn't spent a lot of time in our RV. We were in the tasting rooms! Would definitely stay here again.

This was a wonderful campground. Very new. Paved streets, cement pads, with young trees and grass in between sites. Wi-Fi was great and so was the cable. Managers/owners were extremely friendly and very accommodating. Escorted to our site. We really wish there was more to do in Mountain Home, ID because this would be a great place to spend some time. Will stay here again.

This is a nice KOA. There is a lot for kids to do. Very friendly people running it. We were escorted to our site. Wi-Fi good. Cable good. Well maintained and clean. Sites are not really big but not too small either. Typical KOA site width. Would stay here again.

Pretty much what previous reviewers have said about this park is true. We have a little different take. We aren’t really campers. We are RVers. So, getting away from it all for that nice 2 or 3 week vacation isn’t necessarily what we are looking for. We pulled in here after being on the road for 3 months. Had a discussion with the owner at check in about how we really need our WI-FI and she smiled sweetly and assured me that it is reliable. In the first 36 hours that we were there, we only got to use if for a couple of hours because it was down. The owners are friendly unless you have a complaint. They didn’t like us complaining about the WI-FI. Initially, we were told that the whole valley was out. But then we found a couple of other campgrounds just down the road whose WI-FI worked. Also found several locations in town that were having no problem. When we brought that up, the back peddling started. Asked if we could have our money back for our final two nights so we could go to a campground where the WI-FI works. They said “No”. They stated that it just wasn’t their fault and that it was an “act of God”. I do not view the failure of inferior technology as an act of God. So, we stayed and it did finally come up but we left one day early when it started slowing down again. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, this might be the place. Your cell won’t work, your antenna will not pick up any TV, and the WI-FI is unreliable. Like to swim? They have a pool but it is empty. To be fair, the ONLY thing in that list that they advertise as a service they will provide is the free WI-FI. Hardly their fault that the cell doesn't work and the cable TV doesn't come out that far from town. The word resort just doesn’t work for me though. They charge like it is a resort, but it is not. Obviously, we won’t be going back

This is a very nice rv park....once you get up here. It is a climb but we had been here before and so we unhooked down at the bottom. The free WI-FI is fast and strong and available at your site. They have free cable TV, a nice laundry and a couple of hot tubs. There is also a small store and gift shop. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. We aren't really gamblers but if you are, Central City is right down the hill. There just isn't much in the way of campgrounds in this part of Colorado and so we use it as a base to explore the area. The rate reflects a weekly rate including tax. We will come back here again.

This campground would be OK for a night or two. It was kind of a mixed bag for us. The owner is very friendly and accommodating, and knows a lot about the area. The WIFI is free, and the signal was strong and fast. No cable, but we did get major networks with our antenna. Campground was clean and well kept. We only have two negatives - our site and the road noise. They really can't do anything about the road noise. It's there and it's loud. Doesn't usually bother me but it did here. Ran the fan on the A/C all night to drown it out. They have nice sites with trees and then they have a row in a gravel area with no trees and no site separators of any kind. The hookups were side to side and so I kind of got the feeling I was in a Walmart parking lot but had hookups! They need to bring those sites up to par with the rest of the campground and if I ever go there again, they need to give me one of the sites in the trees.

This is a great campground. Right next to the Little Bighorn battlefield. It is carved into a hillside and they did a really good job of getting sites pretty level. We had to use some boards but no big deal, and the sites on either side of us looked to be pretty level. Great views of the valley and the Little Big Horn River. Wi-Fi was very good and fast; solid signal. There is no cable, but we picked up the major networks with our antenna. They give you a coupon for free ice cream bars upon check in. Very nice people and very nice campground. Will come back here many times.

I don't rate a 10 very often. This is one of the best campgrounds around. The sites are ample and shaded. Their WI-FI at your site is free, fast and with a strong signal. They also have free cable TV. Their laundry room is clean and very comfortable that has an area where there is couch and chairs to sit and read or use laptop. Didn't use the bathhouse much but it was clean when I was in there. They take great pride in this park and they are constantly working on it. The landscaping and flowers are so nice and give great ambiance. Owners are friendly and very accommodating. I can think of no negatives. An absolutely wonderful place to stay. We were there for 3 weeks because just couldn't leave. The rate reflects a weekly rate.

Almost didn't stay here due to previous reviews but decided to try one night since the location seems ideal. The owners were cordial. When I had originally called, the one owner told me I could get WIFI at my site. When I called about 10 miles out, I was told by the other owner that there was not a central WIFI system and I could not get WIFI at my site. We went anyway. It is actually a mobile home park with a few sites for motorhomes. The streamside sights are always booked way in advance and there are few of them. The site we were in backed up to the trees on the side of the mountain. It was large enough for our rv and tow. The park is well kept and clean. The grass and flowers are quite pretty. Previous reviewers are right, they only take cash or travelers checks. The do have free cable tv. The owners live in a house onsite and that is where you check in. They did not offer us a receipt when we gave them the cash nor do they have any handouts. There is no listing of what tv channels are on the cable like we have gotten everywhere else we have gone. There is no laundry or bath house. There are no picnic tables. If you want WIFI, you must sit on their front porch. I got it once but someone else in the park told me that she could not get it and was told it was sporadic. The only cell phones that work are AT&T. We have Alltel and the people in the site next to us had Verizon and neither one of us could use our phones unless we drove into Idaho Springs. I thought the price was kind of high considering that there is not a lot of service available. Probably won't return.

This campground is very well maintained and it is obvious that the owners take a lot of pride in it. The grounds are very attractive with flowers, birdhouses and green grass between sites. The sites are gravel and there are beautiful, mature trees for shade but it is not too heavily wooded. Both the owners and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. The sites are an OK size but we were here when there were hardly any other rigs and so don't know what it would look like with rigs on either side of us. If TV is important to you, you will be disappointed. I don't know about satellite, but our antenna only picked up 3 channels (NBC, ABC and PBS) and they were a little fuzzy. The WIFI is better than it was when we arrived. The owner bought a new modem and that has improved performance, but it still bogs down now and then. As far as the previous reviewer's complaint about the cancellation policy, that person is correct. I knew of this policy because I asked when I made the reservation. The information was not volunteered. The cancellation policy is more extreme than other places and so, for that reason, I feel it should be posted on the website and it is not. We would return here again but would probably not make a reservation.

We went to this park because of all the great reviews. I don't know if all those people were camping for the very first time and don't know any better or what. I agree with the most recent reviewer. Terribly overpriced. You need to get one of their high end expensive pull thrus if you want to fit. We have a 37' Class A. The Wi-Fi is such a joke, and to actually charge for it is ludicrous. The back in sites are OK if you are shorter than we are, but for the price I would expect to see more space between sites. Kind of close together for this kind of money. It's hard to find decent camping in the Yellowstone area, and I guess that is why people go to this campground, and they must rate it highly because there just isn't a lot else. A rip off. Won't stay here again.

Great KOA. Very ample sites both long and wide. Free WiFi and cable. Indoor pool and game room which we did not use but looked good. Owners very friendly, accommodating and know a great deal about the area. We were right next to the lovely Wind River. Stayed a week. The rate reflects the winter weekly rate. Will definitely return again.

This was our second year traveling to West Yellowstone, and our first year at this campground. This campground is just so head and shoulders above anything you will find in the town of West Yellowstone. It has reasonable rates, beautiful scenery, free WI-FI, and an extremely friendly and accommodating staff. We are so glad we decided to look around for alternatives to the run of the mill, overpriced campgrounds in West Yellowstone. We will return here every year. It was great.

I pretty much concur with the previous review which is well detailed. I would like to add a couple comments. Each RV is parked by someone in a golf cart. Not all of the staff know how far apart the motorhomes should be parked. We were in the dry camping area and they had us so close to our neighbor that our A/C sucked in his exhaust and kept setting off our carbon monoxide detector. He was diesel and we are gas so his generator vent was pointed at our door and was maybe 6' away! I would say you need to pay close attention to how close they try to park you and give them a little guidance on that. The area is all dirt with no gravel, shade or grass because it is a temp campground. It is very convenient to the balloon fiesta and we watched them land outside the front windshield of our RV. We were able to get a reservation 2 weeks in advance. I don't think we will stay there again because it was just a little too much "roughing" it for us.

Let me explain that I am not a picky person. We are in a site that is too small for our rig let along our rig and a tow. They advertise large shady sites. Ha! We asked if they had a pullthru where we would not have to unhook since this is a touch and go for us and I explained we have a 37' motor home towing a jeep. They gave us this site that barely fits the motorhome. Had to unhook and park the tow car elsewhere. Gravel and dust, mostly dust. WIFI at all sites a joke. We can get it but the data flow is so slow it is almost unusable. No tv of any kind. The "shade" is small trees about the height of the motorhome. The word "resort" should not be used in this park's name. No way we are coming back here again.

This is a great KOA. The sites are under huge trees and are nicely shaded. We had a pull through and the size in both width and length was more than ample for our 37' motorhome and jeep tow car. They had a pool and hot tub which we didn't use but we did use the laundry. Cost us $13 to wash and dry 4 loads - laundry very clean and there were about 6 washers and dryers. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. No cable but our antenna picked up the major networks locally. They have free WIFI but you have to go to the office to use it. Nice area with tables and chairs to sit with your laptop. Will definitely come back here again. Would have given them a 10 if we could get WIFI at our site.

This KOA was OK. As per previous reviews, the grassy sites are bigger than the wooded sites. Not a lot of privacy though and I wouldn't exactly call any of the sites huge. They have a pool and a hot tub and we used the hot tub. It was nice. WiFi is free but goes on and off and if it goes off after the office closes (which it did for us), you will have to wait for the staff to arrive the next morning to reset it. The place is a bit pricey and I think that there are other campgrounds in the same vicinity that have more reasonable rates and are just as good or better. Don't think we would return unless everything else is full.

Very nice park. Well kept. Friendly staff. We preferred a back in so we could back up to the national forest. Great dog walk area back there. We are having a little problem fitting our jeep on the site because our sewer hose is about 25' and it needs to be longer on this site so that we can back our 37' rv back further. Cannot believe they charge for the WIFI. It is $4 a day and it is bad, don't waste your money. West Yellowstone is a great town with lots going on and a lot of shops. Very rustic. Love this area. Grizzly is the nicest rv park in the area and we would stay here again.

We really like this campground. The reviews are mixed and people either love it or hate it. If you stay in any of the sites 1 through 68, you should have no complaints. 1 through 15 are the waterfront sites and they are the very best. You are right on the bay. Sites 16 through 68 are clustered behind the waterfront sites. They are less expensive but not by much. The rate I listed is a waterfront site with a Good Sam discount. We stayed 16 days and moved 4 times so we could stay there. 3 of the sites were on the waterfront and absolutely fabulous. The only smell I picked up was the one you get when you camp by the ocean. If you don't like that smell - go inland. We sat out in front of our rv every night drinking wine and marvelling at the views and the salt air wondering what could be more perfect. Yeah, it's pricey but there just aren't very many places where you can sit on the water like you can at Fidalgo Bay. We will be back every year just like all the people we met there.

This is a very nice rv park. Our site was huge. Woodalls said average site width was 20 feet. Ha! I'd say a whole lot wider than that! Huge trees, very rustic. People who run it very nice and accommodating. Only facilities we used were laundry and it was clean. We were in a 50 amp site and then moved to a 30 amp. Didn't have to run the air much so can't say how good the power was. All in all, a great campground if you like rustic and wooded. WIFI was great and free. Only reason I wouldn't give them a 10 is because they charge $2 a night extra for pets. We would return.

We lucked into a site (#111) which is a little bit of a climb but sits on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Icicle River. The sites are close as previous reviewers have noted. But, it is a very nice park and ideally located. It's probably the nicest one in the area. I don't believe I felt "packed in like a sardine". They were full but we didn't feel all that uncomfortable. Their WIFI is a little lacking but it is free. No pool but a nice spa that my husband used and liked. Office staff very nice. We would stay here again.

Great campground. The sites are huge and lots of trees. WIFI is free and can be sporadic depending how far away you are from the router. Most of the time, it worked OK for us. Laundry room was clean and they had a nice rec room too. Owner is very knowledgeable about the area and gives out great info and maps. You can get cable for extra $ but we opted to used the antenna and got all major networks in the local area. Will definitely come back to this little jewel again.

This is a new campground with a very steep climb to access. There is a steady 8.3 mile 8% grade climb from I-70 to Central City and then the last mile up (and I do mean UP) to the campground is an even steeper grade with two pretty tight hairpin curves. We have a 37' Class A towing a Jeep and we made it up here OK, but using 20/20 hindsight we wish we would have un-hooked at the bottom! Once you get up here, the views are beautiful. You feel like you are on top of the world. The sites are large and the WIFI and cable are free. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They have a petition they are asking guests to sign which would allow access to the campground from the parkway that leads to Central City. That would alleviate the grueling 1 mile climb up to the campground after getting to Central City. I would have given it a 10 if it weren't for the access issue. We like the campground and would love to come back but we might wait to come back after they get their access road!

Don't understand the previous posts. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this campground. We are in site 99 and it is huge. The WIFI isn't free - $3 a night or $10 a week but it is fast and we get the signal just fine in our rv. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a small pool but haven't used it. The back in sites are a little tighter than the pull thrus but most of them have a large field out back. Nice pet walk area. Perfectly adequate and quite rustic. We are here for 5 nights and enjoying every minute.

We were scared to stay here after reading some of the posts. But, we had reservations and decided that it was only one night so how bad could it be. This campground is quite adequate for a stopover. We have 50 amp supporting both A/C units, great free WIFI and cable TV. Yes, it is all crushed rock and the sites are close, but like I said, it is a great stopover. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The area where the long term residents stay is separate from the short term stopovers and the long term area appears neat and tidy. I have no problem with this park and we will stay here whenever we are passing through this part of Wyoming.

We really like this campground and have stayed here many times. It is located just outside the western side of Rocky Mountain National Park. The sites are large and very private with a lot of vegetation in between. Some sites are more level than others but we have always been able to get level regardless of the site we were in. There is a playground and an arcade room but no pool. They have free WIFI which you can access in their rec room. They also have cable tv in the rec room. You can't get tv reception with your antenna but the campground is in such a great setting that we really didn't miss it. Grand Lake is a quaint little mountain town on a beautiful lake. There are some nice shops and some nice restaurants in Grand Lake. Great base camp to see Rocky Mountain National Park. One of our favorite campgrounds and we will continue to return again and again.

We loved this campground. Staff was all very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. We had a pull through site in the trees and it was so nice and idyllic. The site was big enough for our 37' motorhome and our Jeep tow vehicle. Cable at the site. There is a great store that is very well stocked. They have a wonderful pancake breakfast and on July 4th they had a cookout with everyone bringing something. We had not booked our site for the night of the 4th and we really wanted to stay a day longer. They worked very hard to find us another site for that night. It took some work, but they did it. I can think of no negatives for this campground. Location to Durango is great, views of the surrounding mountains are stellar. Very clean and well kept campground with reasonable rates. Will stay here again and again.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. The managment is friendly and aims to please. A lot of full timers work here. It is heavily wooded and very rustic and quiet. There is not a lot for kids to do since there is no pool or playground, but the Chama River affords a lot of chances to fish. The Cumbres and Toltec train (steam engine) runs through the campground at 10:00 am and then also late afternoon. A great sight seeing that steam engine come through the woods! Campers go down to the river to wait for the train and take pictures or wave at the people riding it. Chama Valley a great place to get away from it all and this campground the best. Chama is a small, quiet town with only a few shops. 40 miles away is Pagosa Springs, CO and from there you can go up Wolf Creek Pass and see some beautiful country. The drive north out of Chama along the train route is also a beautiful drive. Only negative is that in July there can be a mosquito issue. Otherwise, perfect place to go and veg.

The staff at this campground were very friendly and helpful. They had a pool and a store. Some of the sites were close together. We felt we were a little close on one side. On the other side was an rv that stayed there from March to October and they had set up fountains, canopies, wildlife statues, you name it! Only thing missing was a pink flamingo. The campground was heavily wooded and there seemed to be a fine coating of red dust everywhere. That might have been natural or it might have been due to the fact that a forest fire had been put out right across the street from them the previous week. We stayed there a couple of days and I was ready to leave because I was really sick of that fine red dust! If they had gravel sites, it would have been much better. I might look around for something better but would stay there again if everything in the area had that red dust.

We liked this campground. We were staying in the St. Louis area and we were there for 3 nights. Very well kept and nicely landscaped. Free firewood. Owners were very friendly and aimed to please. Close to the interstate but didn't really get bothered with the noise. We were in the back part of the park. Some shade, gravel road and sites that were level. Very convenient to St. Louis. This campground had ample sites up on the top level of the terraced park. We also had a good view of Laughlin from up there. The sites were all rock and dirt and had about no landscaping. We scraped our levelers when backing into the site. The sensor on our rv registered at 127 degrees when we pulled in mid afternoon. It was what we thought camping on the surface of the sun might feel like. Our two air conditioners could not cool the coach down until the sun set. As a result of the intense heat, we didn't roam around the rv park except to take the dog out. We were just passing through and will make it a point never to pass through there again unless it is winter. The staff in the office were friendly and the accommodations were adequate. If I were ever to pass through her again I would probably stay here.

We had a reservation at this campground and called ahead while still on the road to confirm. They gave us our site number and told us they would close at 6:00 pm for "inventory". Note, this is the Friday night of the 4th of July holiday weekend. Normally a busy night for campgrounds. When we got there, we went to the site that we were assigned and there was someone in it. I was glad too, because the coaches in the sites in that section were almost touching with slides out. I found this interesting since I had asked them when we had called in earlier that day if the site was wide enough to accommodate our slideouts without touching people on either side and his answer to that question was very vague. Went to the office and knocked on the door because we could see people in there. They wouldn't answer the door - yelled at us through the window and told us they were closed for inventory. We yelled through the window that the site they had assigned us had someone in it. They finally opened the door and a man pointed to a couple of empty sites and told us to take our pick. These were bigger sites and we took the one we wanted. Our neighbor in the site next to us was as dumbfounded as we were that they were closed at the kick off of the holiday weekend. Neither one of us could figure out what they were "counting" in this "inventory". Campers continued to stream in that evening and all of them found the office locked. It was quite bizarre. People were walking around the campground trying to find sites. Others with reservations like us were taking any site they could find. So, people would arrive and find other rigs in their assigned sites just as we had. Still, the door remained locked and the "inventory" continued. When I went in to the office to pay the next morning, there was a man in there who had been assigned the same site we had been assigned and had arrived as we did to find that site taken. No control here - only chaos. Still don't know what they were counting. It could actually be a decent park if they had a manager who knew how to manage because the accommodations are OK. The sites we ended up in were big. Not much shade and everything is gravel but OK for a stop over. They have a pool and a small store - that has just recently been inventoried! Don't bother making reservations. Not much point in that. I might stay here again if I was in the area and needed a place to park other than the Walmart.

We like this campground. We had stayed here before and we were impressed with the cleanliness and the landscaping. It is a great base camp for spending time in the Denver area and also to run up to some of the mountain towns close to Golden. They were able to get us in at the last minute. Some of the sites are a little close and we had to take one of the smaller sites since they were about full, but even the smaller site was better than any other campground in the area. We have a 37' motorhome with two slides and we found our site fine for an overnight. They are building a pool. The staff is friendly. We will stay here any time we come back to Denver.

We read the previous reviews and were a little leary of this campground but then saw recent ones that were better. I called them and they explained they were new owners and had made many improvements. We reserved two nights and after we got there, we stayed for a third. Our grandchildren loved this campground. It is on a nice lake, is wooded and has a great pool. The only reason we didn't give it a 10 is because we do agree with the leveling problem others have had and it did take us some doing to get our rig level. Other than that, it was great. The staff was friendly and helpful and the campground now appears to be well kept. We will stay here again.

Excellent campground. The sites were nice size. Did not feel cramped at all. The grandchildren enjoyed the pool and the staff were very friendly. Near the interstate but the road noise didn't really bother us. Would stay here again any time we are in the area.

This was a great campground out in the Wisconsin countryside. Right next to a pasture with cows. Kids loved it! The owners are friendly, helpful and aim to please. Exceptionally clean bathhouse and restrooms. Not much for the kids to do but watch the cows but that was kind of refreshing for a change. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is because they don't have sewer hookups. They are more than willing to come and pump you for free whenever you request and so it is almost as good as having sewer. Great place. We will stay here again.

We had a reservation. The pictures on the internet didn't look that great but we thought it would be OK for a stopover. The place was a dump. The pictures make it look much better than it is. They tried to charge us more than they had quoted us even though we had a credit card secured reservation. They had no water due to a water main break and did not tell us this at check in. The owner did agree to give us our money back since she hadn't told us there was no water when we checked in. That is why I gave them a rating of 2 instead of 1. We would never return to this campground under any circumstances.
